Why this result?

Add fans with valid nominal airflow to inspect their calculation.

This compares nominal fan ratings. It does not calculate real static pressure, temperatures, turbulence or measured airflow inside the chassis.

CONFIGURATION INSIGHTS

Configure valid fan directions and nominal airflow to see local layout suggestions.

Airflow model & limitations

How PC case airflow works

Intake fans guide outside air in; exhaust fans guide air out. A common starting path uses front/bottom intake and rear/top exhaust. The diagram draws schematic connections, not calculated fluid paths.

Positive and negative pressure tendency

We sum nominal intake and exhaust CFM, subtract exhaust from intake, then divide by the larger total. The ±10% balanced band is an editable practical flag. Conceptual leakage arrows indicate an outward or inward tendency, not physically mapped leakage.

Nominal fan CFM

The generic fan defaults to 120 mm / 50 CFM. Both 120 and 140 mm sizes keep the same nominal default; size does not establish an airflow rating. Custom values accept 1–250 CFM and one decimal place. Changing size retains custom CFM. These are model safeguards, not sourced fan-product specifications.

Filters, radiators and real airflow

Filters, radiators, restrictive panels, heatsinks, cables, fan curves and internal components change installed airflow. V1 applies no guessed restriction factor. Future explicit adjustments can use separately labeled simulator factors; they would not represent measured resistance.

Preset assumptions

Balanced start uses two 50 CFM front intakes and one explicitly custom 100 CFM rear exhaust. Positive airflow uses three intakes and two exhausts at 50 CFM, or two intakes and one exhaust in the compact layout. Exhaust-heavy uses two intakes and three exhausts at 50 CFM. These examples are editable configurations, not a best-fan recommendation. Switching layouts retains shared mounts and reports installed positions removed by a smaller layout.

What this simulator cannot verify

All chassis layouts are LAB references. No exact mount compatibility, actual static pressure, cooling performance or component temperature is established. Review exact hardware using GPU Fit and selected parts in PC builder.
